If you think you may have a water leak on your property, try not to panic. Leaks can cause significant damage to your home or business if left undetected, but we're on hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help.
As a homeowner, landlord or property owner, you are responsible for the length of pipe that usually runs underground from your property boundary through to your internal stop tap. This is called the supply pipe.
In the event that there is a problem with the supply pipe, it's your responsibility to have the pipework repaired, and we're able to help so please do get in touch.
Leakage can occur if water pipes are old or in poor condition, which can also cause problems such as a loss of water pressure, an increase in your water supply and waste water bills, and, in some circumstances, even flooding.
I have a leak, what now?
Firstly, try not to panic. Leaks, if left undetected, can be costly and cause significant damage, but we're on hand 24/7 to help.
Once in attendance, the Waterlink team will attempt to isolate the leaking pipe, cut it out and replace it with a section of modern polyethylene pipe (blue poly).
If we discover that the pipe is in poor condition and a repair is not suitable, we would recommend replacing the affected length of pipework, and can provide a cost for this. Costs will vary significantly depending on the length of pipe required, but the team will always be transparent when providing quotes, and we are very proud of the unrivalled service we offer, at a competitive price.
Once the repair or renewal has been completed, the Waterlink team will reinstate the land as required. The land is reinstated for safety purposes; however, the full area may not be exact to as it was prior to the repair, but we will always try our best!
The cost of a leak
If left undetected, a leak can be costly and cause significant damage to your home or property.
A leaking toilet could waste 400 litres of water a day, and even up to 8,000 litres a day in some circumstances! That's approxmately 100 bathtubs of water, costing more than £6,000 a year.
Finding and fixing a leake as soon as possible is the surest way to save yourself money and prevent huge water bills. The longer a leak is left unrepaired, the more damage it will cause, and the bigger the repair will be required.
The Waterlink team is on hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help, and we work quickly and efficiently to locate and fix leaks, replacing pipework where necessary, to avoid further damage.
